With only 3 finer, this 1880 2 Sen is scarcely found with the RD designation. This example features brilliant red surfaces and strong luster befitting of it's near-gem grade.
An unusually large copper issue, the early Japanese 2 Sen are impressive in size. At 31.8mm in diameter, these are noticeable larger than early American large cents and even American Half Dollars.
